April's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we reflect on the passing of Mrs. April Smith, who was called to eternal rest on December 26, 2023. April, a woman of exuberant energy and boundless love, was born on February 21, 1974.
April leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, remembered not just with tears, but also with shared stories of joy, and heartfelt laughter. She is survived by her husband, Andre Smith, her children; Jaquann (Kami) Dewberry, Jaquell Dewberry, Jeyana Smith, her siblings; Christina Smith, Nathaniel Dewberry, Willie (Latissa) Richardson and Martina Dewberry, and her cherished granddaughter, A'Riyah Smith. She is moreover survived by her loving mother, Cheryl Dewberry.
A devout attendee at the Bethlehem Temple in York, PA, April's faith was as example to all. The love she showed to everyone touched and changed many lives. Her lessons on how to love unconditionally will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she left behind.
Not one to shy away from the pleasures of life, April had her favorites. She had a soft spot for the refreshing taste of Pepsi and an undeniable love for the music of Fred Hammond. Her favorite pieces of art were always drawn from gospel and smooth R&B - genres she found comfort and peace in. A true Crimson Tide fan, she cheered for Alabama with all her heart.
April had a unique way of putting a smile on people's faces. It was among her favorite pastimes, a testament to her loving, caring, and selfless nature. Her favorite color, purple, was a reflection of her vibrant and passionate personality.
April was indeed a blessing to us all, a flickering candle that brightened many a dark room. The void she leaves behind will echo in our hearts, but we are comforted by the love and warmth she spread during her lifetime. We will remember her, always.
