ANTONIO's obituary

In Loving Memory of Antonio Saldana Arias

October 31, 1969 – May 12, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Antonio Arias on May 12, 2025. Memorial and Viewing will be on June 6, 2025 from 1pm to 5pm at Healey Mortuary on N. Sanborn, Salinas CA.   Born on October 31, 1969, Tony was known for his warmth, humor, and unmistakable presence. He had a natural way of drawing people in—quick with a story, always ready with a joke, and never short on laughter. His love for life and those around him was unmistakable.

Tony was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Toni Michele Arias, and his three sons, Alejandro Julio Arias, Joel Christian Arias, and Julian Brian Arias. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother, whose memories remained close to his heart. He had great pride in his nephews, Oli, Mauro, Omar, Manny, and Angel, whom he spoke of dearly. He cherished the relationship he had with his cousin Louie and often spoke of his lifelong friend, David.

A gifted auto body painter and bodyman by trade, Tony took much pride in his craft—but nothing compared to the pride he felt for his sons, whom he considered his greatest accomplishment. He often spoke of his dream to travel to Guanajuato, Mexico, with them, to share with them the places and memories that shaped him.

Tony found joy in the simple pleasures of life—his mother’s and sister’s homemade tamales and salsa, days in the fields helping his father when he was very young, the music of Angelica María, The Smiths, and Vicente Fernández, and quiet evenings watching documentaries or his favorite films, A Bronx Tale and The Godfather. He loved reminiscing about time spent in San Bernardo, Mexico, and cherished the camaraderie of his lifelong friends, especially on motorcycle rides.

Above all, Tony found his greatest happiness in being close to his sons and sharing his life stories with them, always encouraging them to try new things and take careful chances. His legacy is one of deep love, strong family bonds, and enduring friendships.

Though his time with us ended far too soon, we will carry his spirit with us—grateful for the laughter, love, and light he brought into our lives. We want to give our father the goodbye he deserves. We are sincerely grateful for any help you can give us to make sure this happens. Thank you and God Bless.
