My mom was a devout Catholic and our Church works helping the community, and our parishioners, not only on the spiritual path, but also to help with their needs. Mami would have loved to participate on a ministry but at her age, she could not. Our parish has been wonderful throughout our lives. My son made first communion here, and our pastor collaborate helping with school tuition, and visiting our kids on report card day. He was always a very caring person. My daughter was baptized and did first communion here too. Our Parish at St Mathew’s sponsored a program called Fostering with love and we were first couple to adopt. I have the most wonderful memories of my wonderful parish and my mom and dad were married by Father Fred Ruse, our priest at the time. Father O’brian visited my mom at home to talk with her, and brought her the sacrament of the sick! I have best memories and great friends at my St. Mathew’s Parish.
