Obituary – Antonia Landeros Avila
Antonia Landeros Avila, born on May 10, 1946, in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025.
Antonia was a devoted mother, a humble public servant, and a woman of quiet strength. She began her career as a licensed beautician and later made her home in Berkeley, California, where she raised her two children with grace, sacrifice, and unwavering love.
In her later years, Antonia worked for the City of Berkeley, delivering meals to the elderly and supporting community health services. Her kindness and quiet dedication touched many lives.
She met life’s challenges with courage and humility. A cancer survivor and someone who lived gracefully with diabetes, Antonia exemplified resilience and deep inner faith.
She is survived by her children, Marc Victor and his wife Ilyn Victor, and Linda Mora-Curtis and her husband Spencer Curtis. Her legacy of strength, compassion, and devotion to family lives on through them.
Antonia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Sunset View, El Cerrito on July 19, 2025 at 1pm.
