Antoinette pupillo Kessler born November 27 1946 in New York City to Mary an immigrant from Italy and Vito Pupillo a world war 2 veteran. She grew up in Harlem and moved to Long Island in 1965. She worked at numerous jobs in her life including as a typist, a bookkeeper, a paraprofessional and caregiver to the elderly and worked at a group home for mentally handicapped adults. Antoinette did a lot of good things in her life to help others and was always there when you needed good advice or just a shoulder to cry on. In 1980 at the age of 32 she met the love of her life Anthony Raymond Kessler at a bar on Long Island. It was like love at first sight. They married on may 14 1988 and on July 9 1989 they had a child born as Michael Anthony Joseph who is now transgender and goes by Lucy. They had many good times over the years from trips to Canada to family dinners at Antoinette’s mother’s home on oak ave. In 2003 the kessler’s moved to Cape Coral Florida and 4 years later in 2007 lost Anthony Raymond due to esophageal cancer. It was never the same again . In 2010 Antoinette, Mary and Michael moved back to Long Island while a few months later Antoinette’s mother Mary Montalto pupillo died 2 and a half weeks short of her 88th birthday. So after they relocated back to Florida briefly then Antoinette’s health slowly started to decline little by little and dealt with some pretty bad hardships. They relocated a couple more times tried Las Vegas then back to ny and in 2023 antonette moved to Allentown pa to be closer to then michael and his partner Branden. Her health got worse and Antoinette just got weaker and weaker . She was always in physical therapy and had a hard time getting up. Also was a diabetic and had multiple health issues including vascular dementia. In early 2025 her memory started to decline and often got confused and sometimes aggressive. By April of this year she started to decline rapidly and often brought up relatives who were passed on and kept saying her mother Mary bought a house in North Carolina and was coming to get her. On May the 4th 2025 at 3 pm Antoinette Pupillo Kessler was reunited in heaven with the love of her life , both of her parents her aunt Josie who was also like a sister and another mother to her as well as some of her good friends including Amelia Rose Mcellan who she worked with many years ago as well as some of the family pets including 2 beagles one named Kim who was her dog when she was young and Susie who was the family dog in the mid to late 1990’s. Antoinette will be dearly missed in the physical world but will be in our hearts forever
