Antoinette Maureen Ford, 76, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025. Toni was born in Evergreen Park, IL, on September 19, 1948, the daughter of Jasper Ford and Leona Keppers Ford. Toni married John Rodenkirch in 1972 and had three beautiful children. Toni is survived by her daughter, Julia (William) Bruce, her two sons, Jeffrey (Kelly) Rodenkirch and Kevin (Elizabeth) Rodenkirch; and her eight grandchildren, Lauren and Rachel Bruce; Jack, Ryan, and Kaitlin Rodenkirch; and Hannah, Clara, and Noah Rodenkirch; and her siblings, Catherine (Rick) Jones, Jestin Ford, Susan (late husband Manny) Ikpoh, and Jacqueline (John) Baldyga. Toni was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Deborah Bodlak and Rosemary Baer.

Growing up in Chicago’s southwest suburbs, she was a life-long Cubs fan who enjoyed deep dish pizza and an occasional beer on a Friday night. She spent the early part of her career as a teacher and later as an administrative assistant at the Carol Stream Police Department where she witnessed the seedy underbelly of the suburbs in the 90’s. Later on, when health problems limited her mobility, she didn’t let it stop her from enjoying time with her grandchildren whom she adored, being silly, eating too much dessert, and having just a tidge more wine.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made, in Toni’s name, to the Epilepsy Foundation in honor of her grandson, Ryan Rodenkirch.
