Anthony's obituary
Anthony Charles Wacker, 55, peacefully passed away February 5, 2024, at Westwood Post Acute in Denver, CO.
He was born in Camden, New Jersey, July 4, 1968. He eventually made his way down to Denver, Colorado, where he grew up with his father and eventually started his own family.
Anthony suffered an Ischemic Stroke on July 3, 2020. He suffered many complications that resulted in him depending on dialysis for a bit over three years, and having a below the knee amputation. Anthony body became tired. He fought long, and hard. With the support of Anthony's youngest daughter, Stephaney Lacey, and his best friend, Bruce Johnson, Anthony made the difficult decision to go on hospice. He passed one week later.
Anthony loved fishing and motorcycles. Especially Harley Davidson. He had a love for the Pittsburgh Steelers and got a mischievous joy when they played the Denver Broncos. He loved dogs; especially Dachshunds.
He was a man that would give you the shirt off of his back, no questions asked.
Anthony's two daughters, granddaughter, and grandson, were the light of his life. He always talked about how much he loved them, and how proud he was of all of them.
Anthony is survived by his ex wife, Cheryl Wacker, of Las Vegas, NV.; two daughters, Amber Wacker of Denver, CO.; Stephaney Lacey and her husband, Brian Lacey of Rock Springs, WY.; Grandson, Mario Tuck, of Las Vegas, NV.; Granddaughter, Charlee Lacey, of Rock Springs, WY; best friend, Bruce Johnson, of Denver, CO.; and many friends and family from all over.
Anthony is preceded in death by his father, Henry Charles Wacker, and two dogs that were his babies, Sophie and Steeler.
There are no services planned. Cremation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lander Pet Connection, where Anthony's favorite grand-dog, Gus, was adopted from. They shared a strong bond, until the passing of Gus.
