I met Tony and Marion on a tour of Europe in the late 1970s and found them both to be such wonderful traveling companions.  Later, I visited them in their home in Orange during Christmas break (I am an educator, as well).  They were wonderful friends, and I am sorry that we lost touch during the final years of both their lives.  May they rest in peace with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Until we meet again....
Tony was my dear friend, confidant and spiritual mentor.  Mrs. Bube, my 5th grade teacher at Del Norte.  I miss our talks Tony, our friendship, most of all, I just miss you.

It is with great sadness that I have just learned of Dr. Bube’s passing. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dr. Bube was an inspiration and a guiding light to me. He was my principal at Del Lago the first year it opened. As a 6th grade student I was enthusiastic about getting traditions started that first year. Dr. Bube supported all his students and so I along with a few other 6th grade classmates met with Dr. Bube weekly to establish these traditions. He supported us wholeheartedly and tradition was set.

I remained in contact with Dr. Bube through the years and later I too became an elementary educator and earned a Masters degree in Administration. As time passed we remained in contact through yearly Christmas cards in which we would update each other on our life events. It was always a blessing to receive his handwritten notes and those will be missed.

Grateful for Dr. Bube and his servant’s heart -

Susan

Dr. Bube was a wonderful man and mentor. I was a brand new staff at Del Lago Elementary when he was principal many years ago. He was so kind, friendly and accepting. He would stop by just to say hi and see how I was doing. I remember how his cologne would linger a bit after he left. It represented a bit of comfort to me. I was sad when he retired since his presence was always so welcome. May he rest in peace and I look forward to seeing him again one day in Heaven!

Tony was a great man!  I so enjoyed serving on the Inside the Outdoors Foundation with him.  He was hard working, dedicated and encouraging.  I also enjoyed his love of the outdoors and sharing Eastern Sierra stories.  I think of him when I hike in that region.

Thank you for sharing him with us!  Sending you prayers and hugs as you miss him.

He was the sweetest man he was principal at del Lago elementary, he used to sign ka-ka-kayie to me ( my name is Katie ) .

It meant so much, because elementary school was very difficult for me, I had r dyslexia and there were many difficult school days.

But he always made it better with that song.❤️

Dr. Bube was my principal at Del Lago many years ago. I will never forget the one day it was raining and I missed the bus, Dr. Bube drive me home that day. He was always interacting with the students and actually listening to what they had to say. No one ever had anything negative to say about Dr. Bube. He was a great man.
Dr Bube was my principal at Del Lago Elementary he used to walk us across the street every day.  It was one of my fondest memories growing up. He touched so many lives. He will truly be missed.

So sorry to hear that Mr. Bube had passed away. He was my teacher in the 8th grade over 52 years ago. He had such an impact on my life and I so respected him that I could never bring myself to call him Tony. He became a lifelong friend and we always exchanged Christmas cards and I would make a point to see him whenever I was in Southern CA. I last saw him in the spring of 2020. Not only did he impact my life, but he impacted the lives of so many. He will be missed!
Dr Bube was my principal at Del Lago in Mission Viejo. I remember him fondly and I’m very sorry to hear of his passing. Ted and I had the honor of raising the flag every day. Great memories at that school. RIP Dr Bube and thank you for your service!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🇺🇸
Tony was an incredible person and had a great influence on our family and our children. He will be missed by so many people.
Dr. Bube was a huge part of my youth as a student at La Purisima! I remember he was essentially like a therapist to us kids back then as there were “Dr. Bube hours” where kids were able to talk to him openly about anything. I remember he was the first person I ever came out to and spoke of the teasing I endured at school and he made me feel accepted during a time when I wasn’t. I remember his welcoming wink every time I’d walk through those gates first thing in the morning for school. I’m saddened to hear of his passing. The world lost a great great man on August 15. Thank you for everything Dr. Bube. You meant more to me than you know.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Tony Bube.  Tony was loved by all those he led as principal  at Del Lago Elementary School. He was so kind and caring.   Condolences and prayers to the Bube Family.  May Tony Rest In Peace.

Sincerely,

Kathy Stone
