Anthony Joseph Spittel

Anthony Joseph Spittel passed away on May 26, 2021 in his home in Manchester, MD surrounded by loved ones. He was 63.
Anthony (Tony) served as a Captain Paramedic for the Howard County Fire & Rescue for 20 years before retiring in 2017. Tony was a lover of Harley Davidson motorcycles, craft beer, and gardening. Tony was known for his passion for the Washington Capitals and it was common for friends and family to gather at his home for games, barbeques, and holidays.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Melissa Spittel; children, Greg Hinton of Finksburg, Aubrey Danielson of Hampstead, AJ Spittel of Hanover, and Allison Spittel of Hanover; the mother of his children, Joan Hinton of Pennsylvania; siblings, Deborah Spittel of Pasadena, Betty Spittel of Baltimore, Vicki Stahly of Marriottsville and Lester Spittel Jr. of Chase; and seven grandchildren. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Lester & Eileen "Betty" Spittel.
The family will have a Celebration of Life gathering at Spargos Restaurant on June 27th beginning at 1pm.
