Tony's obituary
Anthony Lynn Newland, known as "Tony" or "Bones" to those closest to him, passed away January 11th, 2023 after battling liver disease.
Tony and his beloved twin sister Anita were born March 21st, 1957 to Robert Newland and Shirley Savage in Indianapolis. He attended Colorado University from 1983-1987 where he studied architecture and received his Bachelors of Science degree. He was an accomplished union carpenter and foreman. Tony was a member to Indianapolis, IN Local 758 and Arlington, TX Local 429. He was particularly proud of his work on the DFW Airport, Dr. Pepper level of the Dallas Cowboy's Stadium, and Circle Center Mall in Indianapolis, where he specifically worked on the Disney Store and Andrew's Jewelers. In the final years of his life, he enjoyed sailing, riding motorcycles, going to the shooting range, and playing guitars from his small collection.
In his passing, Tony leaves behind two daughters, Jessica Arbuckle and Alexis Newland; five grandchildren, Christopher, Lilly, Jakob, Scarlette, and Azabelle; his nieces, Nichole Matthias and her daughter, Aubrey; and Daisy Mae, he and his late wife's adored little dog . He will be joining his late wife Tina Marie Kious-Newland, twin Anita Bouton, and Daisy Mae's predecessor, Domino.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to your local chapter of Biker's Against Child Abuse to allow children to gain the confidence to stand up to their abusers with their biker friends by their side.
Tony's body has been donated to The University of North Texas Health Science Center to give students the opportunity to learn from him.
Services will not be held until his cremains have been received by his daughters. Once arrangements have been made, this page webpage to reflect that. Any service will be announced in advance to allow for travel. He will be laid to rest in Missouri next to Tina.
