Anthony's obituary
Anthony Leroy Moffitt, affectionately known as “Speedy” and “Pickles”, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2025, at the age of 31. Born on April 1, 1994, Anthony lived a bold, passionate, and fearless life that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Anthony was a devoted father, loving husband, loyal brother, proud son, and a cherished friend. He was the heart and soul of every room, known for his unmatched sense of humor, infectious laugh, and a personality as unforgettable as his nicknames. Whether you knew him through his paintball team, the Berserkers—where “Pickles” was born—or through Moffitt Trucking LLC, the business he built and poured his heart into, Anthony lived life at full speed and with full heart.
He proudly served as an Army veteran and was never afraid to stand up for what he believed in. He wore his love for his family like armor and gave everything he had to those he loved.
Anthony is survived by his two sons, Tony and Jonathan; his wife, Celeste; his mother, Susan; and his grandfather, Leroy. He leaves behind his siblings: Anna, Cherrish, Amy, and Bobbie. He was a proud uncle to Illyanna, Isaiah, Samantha, Sunshine, Braxton Carter, Novella Jane, Elliott Angelo, Curtis Hundley, Blake Kaler, Brandon Hundley, Maddie Kaler, Ryan Kaler, and soon-to-arrive Ezekiel Anthony, who will carry on his name. He was also a loving great-uncle to Haizley, T’Marion, and Matteo.
Anthony was many things—a leader, protector, jokester, and warrior. But above all, he was real. He lived unapologetically, laughed loudly, and loved deeply. And if you truly knew Anthony, you knew he was proudly the King of the Fucking Petty—and he wore that crown with pride, humor, and heart.
Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy, stories, and love will live on in every life he touched.
We love you, Anthony. Rest easy, and keep watching over us—your story is far from over.
