Anthony Scott Mize, entrepreneur, dealmaker, & advisor, passed away of a hemorrhagic stroke on Tuesday , June 23rd at the age of 58. Scott is survived by his mother, Sharon Mize, and his two sisters, Kirsten Mize and Michelle Mize Menees. He is predeceased by his father, Arnold Mize.

Scott was born in Topeka, Kansas on December 11th, 1961. He was the valedictorian of the Mulvane High School graduating class of 1980. He was a B.A. Candidate in Engineering and Applied Science at Harvard University, Class of 1984. After college, Scott was a founder or cofounder of several companies including Strawberry Software, Zelos!, AngstroVision, Network Society Ventures, and most recently Shiva Venture Transformation.

Scott will be remembered as a supportive and caring uncle to his three nephews (Garrett, Landon, & Simon) and to his niece (Georgia). He loved spending the Christmas holiday in Kansas City, headlining with the annual reading of The Night Before Christmas. He enjoyed sharing his favorite movies such as Blade Runner, 2001: A Space Odyssey, & Star Wars (IV, V, & VI). He also saw it as his mission to make sure the next generation appreciated classic rock such as The Beatles, Kansas, & CCR. He will be remembered for his great concern for our planet and for responsible citizenship.

Scott was all about taking action. He encouraged others to figure out what change they would like to see take place and to do something about it. He was loved by many who admired him for his extraordinarily big heart. Scott could often be seen enjoying the company of good friends, with a beautiful view, laughing loudly, and a glass of red wine in his hand.
