With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the passing of Anthony "Tony" Mize on June 25, 2023. Born on January 12, 1946, most knew him as Tony, yet he preferred to be addressed as Anthony. He was a man of great integrity, compassion, and love, who leaves behind a lasting legacy within his family and friends.

Through the years, Anthony was a beacon of strength and wisdom to his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Bunnye Mize, who stood by his side in every walk of life. His memory will also be eternally cherished by his sons, Shane West and Anthony Mize Jr., and his daughter, Jac’e Smith.

Anthony’s life was greatly enriched by his loving daughter-in-law, Becky West. He was extremely proud of his grandsons, Joey Mize, Zach West, and Cameron West. He also held an abiding love for his granddaughters, Alyssa West, Mercades West, and Kaylee West. Each of them brought immense joy to his life and they will undoubtedly carry forward his values and teachings.

Anthony was a model of resilience and determination, a man full of life and vigor. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him. However, his life and his values serve as a guiding light that will continue to guide us in the times to come. He may not be with us physically, but his spirit will forever remain amongst us, within our hearts and in the lessons he has left behind.

Anthony's life and achievements stand as a testament to the kind of person he was. We shall forever remember him as a pillar of strength, a man of dignity, and an individual who made a substantial impact on the lives of many.
