Anthony Wayne Mays (Tony), 67, passed away in his residence in Rustburg on December 29, 2023.
Tony was born on September 9, 1956 to the late Sidney and Nettie Mays.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Mays and Vernon Mays, and his best friend, his dog, Jack.
He is survived by his sons, Jason Mays (Melanie) of Amherst and Corey Mays (Krystalin) of Bedford; five grandsons, Hunter, Colt, Maddox, Ridge, and Sutton; two nephews, Bryan Mays of Salisbury N.C. and Steven Mays of Concord N.C.; and special friend and ex-wife, Melissa Staples of Amherst.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family to assist with funeral arrangements, here.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
