It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Anthony Joseph Figueroa known fondly as Antonio but preferred Anthony, who was born on June 5, 2003, and passed away to eternal rest on August 30, 2024. He is survived by his devoted mother, Maribel Melendez, his father Jose D. Figueroa, his loving grandmother, Maria Melendez, doting grandfather, Mariano Melendez and his supportive uncles, Mario, Luis and Hector Melendez. He was predeceased by his beloved brother, Daniel Diaz.

Anthony, a proud graduate of Holbrook High School, MA, class of 2022, was a faithful attendee at the first Methodist church of Cleveland, TX. Known for his wit, energetic nature, and lovable personality, he was particularly loved for his passion for life which he brought into every room he entered.

Enriched by a diverse taste, Anthony enjoyed an exquisite array of food and drink, particularly rice pilaf, Asian style pork chops, and boba tea. A man of faith and wisdom, his favorite books were the Bible and various ancient history theory books.

A lover of the arts, Anthony enjoyed Houston Hip Hop and the drama series American Horror Story. He was an ardent supporter of the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics, and found great joy in playing the Pirate video game with friends.

Anthony was a multi-talented individual, whose favorite recreational activities included song writing and singing. He loved to exercise through yard work and enjoyed vacationing in Puerto Rico. He was often seen at the local Barbershop which he frequently visited.

A man who valued relationships and bonds, Anthony held his family and close friends close to his heart. He was a lover of the color purple and was known for his greatest lesson, the love of God.

Anthony was admired for his manifold talents, as a great mechanic, singer, and songwriter. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
