I found out recently that Anthony (LarryX) had died and was in disbelief. I too am from boxingscene and have known Larry for 10+ years. Weāve interacted online, on a little call in radio show we had, spoke by phone as well as texted each other numerous times. Iād like to call him my friend.
My heart goes out to his pops, whom he often spoke of and loved dearly.Ā
To his children, he loved you so much and I hope you know that. He was so proud of you. Love his memory, live your life to its fullest and put your best foot forward, always! Cause weāre out here rooting and praying for you.Ā
My sincere condolences,Ā

Anthony was a regular poster at Boxing scene and his presence was always a welcome addition.Ā The whole community at BoxingScene is heartbroken. Anthony will be missed... I have sons and I connected to Anthony on this level, as a loving father of two boys I had much respect and empathy for Anthony's efforts as a father.Ā
May the Most High make this difficult time less so, and may your family come together as one in this time of need. May his children feel love, supported, and protected.Ā
With affection

IDK who all this will affect, but Iām just finding out recently and I wanna give my condolences and memories of a good man. I met Anthony (or āLarryā as we called him - his screen name) way back in 2006 online, on boxingscene.com
He was a regular over there and I moderated the forums for a while. He was always entertaining in the debates heād have with us about who was gonna win the fight this Saturday night. Always cordial, very sharp in his understanding of boxing, and he was one of the funniest dudes on the whole damn website - Ask anybody who was around from 2006-2016 and theyād tell you the same.
Iāll always remember his lighthearted nature. The way he could just smile through the pain of lifeās curveballs and never let it get him down too long. I had many late night chats with him during and after HBO boxing PPVs and we would talk for hours about stuff that had nothing to do with boxing at all.
Anthony was just a really genuine guy and weāre all really gonna miss him and his conversation and humor on that site.
My condolences to all of yāall who knew and loved him in person like we all knew and loved him online.

Anthony "Coach Dickie" Sims was like a second son to me, not just because he was my two of my grandchildren Katleyn & Kendall's father, but that's how he treated me. Always offering to help or checking on me. Mrs. Sherri you need me to cut the yard, ya'll need a light bulb outside. The love never stopped pouring in from him. The way he took care of all three of children, you really don't find that in many young men now a day. Anthony came from a good stock and had a wonderful support system. He will truly be missed by the Bass and our extended family.
