Anselm's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Anselm “Ann” de Lande, a woman of unmatched vitality and charisma. Born on April 21, 1934, Anselm embraced eternity on July 14, 2025, leaving behind an enduring legacy of love, wisdom, and resilience.

Anselm de Lande enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, savoring the taste of her favorite foods, Roti or curry goat. She found solace in the soulful music of Aretha Franklin, often humming to the tunes as she worked in her garden or tended to her pets.

Her favorite television shows including General Hospital, All My Children, and Judge Judy, provided her with countless hours of entertainment. The Wizard of Oz was a film close to her heart and Monopoly a game she loved to conquer. Anselm was passionate about swimming, watching movies with her family, and gardening, activities that brought her immeasurable joy and satisfaction.

An avid swimmer, Anselm made the most of the therapeutic benefits of the sport. The Bahamas was her vacation spot of choice, a haven where her soul danced in the rhythms of the sea. Blue was the color that resonated with her, reminiscent of the azure skies and calm seas she cherished.

Anselm was best described as a strong, caring, wise, and regal woman. She treated everyone with kindness and respect, her regal demeanor exuding an aura of warmth and security. Her wisdom was a beacon of light for those who sought guidance, while her strength and caring nature provided comfort and reassurance to all.

She taught us the importance of family, and how to care for animals and plants, lessons that will be carried forward by those touched by her wisdom. Her life was a testament to resilience and love, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

We celebrate Anselm de Lande, not just for the life she lived, but for the lives she touched. She will be dearly missed, yet her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in blissful peace, Anselm.
