Annie Lee Magic, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on September 12, 1939, Annie’s life was defined by her unwavering love for her family, her strength in the face of hardship, and her ability to bring warmth and comfort to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Percy Magic, and her cherished children, Bonita Wickfall, Laquita Flake, and Elbert Jerome Flake; and her dear brothers, John Henry Mays and Jackson Mays.

Annie leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, carried on by her surviving children: Melva Mays, Shelia Echols, Anthony Flake, Yolanda Ward, Sharron Doss, Laura Knudson, and Joseph Flake. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Gracie Kinsey and Roychester Mays. Her memory will also live on in the hearts of her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends who were blessed to know her.

Annie’s life was a testament to compassion and perseverance. She was known for her warm smile, her generous heart, and her ability to make every person feel valued and cared for. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her love always abundant.

Though she is gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts.
