Anne was a prolific artist working with pastels and acrylics on paper and canvas, fabrics of many kinds, and colored glass for mosaics. She was one of the founders of the elementary art program at Boise Schools where she shared her know-how and creativity with young students, some who later joined our local community of artists and artisans. She also taught art at Roosevelt Elementary from 2016-2019. Teaching art brought Anne so much joy and she truly loved seeing her students grow as artists and young people. All delighted in learning about the lives of artists; the means, methods, and materials of their art form; and the reasons why their art was important to the world.
You can give new life and inspire by donating to the Anne Orzepowski Memorial Elementary Art Fund. Each year money will be granted from this fund to Boise Elementary Schools working to grow fledgling art classes into a flourishing program to enrich student learning. Thank you for supporting the arts and the memory of Anne.
