Anne's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Marie McMahon, a beacon of strength, faith, and love in our community and a cherished member of her large Sicilian family, of which she was so proud. Born on March 17, 1954, she was called home to live eternally with the Lord on January 24, 2026.

Anne’s outgoing personality and warm spirit made her easy to love and impossible to forget. She had a special gift for conversation, making everyone feel welcome and heard. Her unwavering faith was the foundation of her life — not only sustaining her, but inspiring those around her to remain strong in their own faith. An avid reader, she treasured The Bible and could often be found walking, crafting, praying, or spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Anne was a wonderful gift giver and enjoyed sharing shopping dates with dear friends. She had a love for travel and especially cherished time spent in Solano Beach, CA one of her favorite places to relax and reflect.

Above all, Anne was a fighter and prayer warrior. She faced life’s challenges with courage and steadfast faith, teaching her family and friends by example to trust and seek God in every season. After retiring from a successful career in sales, Anne passionately volunteered countless hours serving at her church and as a Stephen’s Minister, extending kindness, hope and compassion to those also battling illness. Her impact with them remained long after her ministry extended to others. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to Leia and Jameson Sedgwick, whose smiles and laughter were the light of her life.

Anne is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Mike McMahon; her daughter, Danielle ( Justin ) Sedgwick ; her sister, Karen Novy; and her brothers, Mike ( Elizabeth ) and Bob ( Lisa) Cascio, as well as her many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Vincent and Frances Cascio, and her brother, Anthony Cascio. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Discovery Church 1644 S. Lindsay Rd. Gilbert, AZ, where family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable life, her steadfast faith, and the love she shared so freely.

May her soul rest in eternal peace with Jesus.
