It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Lohwasser, who left us on February 1, 2025. Born on August 6, 1935, Anne led a life of warmth, generosity, and care. Her spirit and legacy will continue to live on through those she left behind.

Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Agatha Lohwasser, Anne was the treasured sibling to her late sister, Lottie Booth, and her late brother, Frank Lohwasser. She was also predeceased by her beloved spouse Art Mendez, her later life partner Tony Rexach, and her dear nephew, George Casey.

Anne's vibrant spirit lives on through her cherished son, Steven Mendez, and her beloved daughter, Juana Calhoun. She also leaves behind her dear niece, Cathy Lohwasser. Her love and wisdom will continue to guide them in the days ahead.

More than anything, Anne took profound joy in her role as a grandmother. She is survived by her grandsons, Toriano Mendez and Braze Calhoun, and her granddaughters, Sheyanne Mendez and Darleen Calhoun. Her legacy of strength and kindness will continue to shine through them.
