Anne Marie Kaplan, 87, of Chicopee, MA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 12, 2025. Anne was born on November 30, 1937, to Norman and Cecile (Couture) Guay in Springfield, MA. She completed her high school education later in life in Chicopee, MA.

In 1956, she met and married her first husband, Clarence Leger, and had a son, Joseph. They were an Air Force family until his death in 1958. Anne later met and married Andrew P. Kaplan Jr. in 1964, and they wed in Willimansett, MA. They later had a son, Erik.

Anne enjoyed many years with her two sons, Joseph and Erik, and was actively involved in both the high school band and Boy Scouting programs that they participated in. Anne had a varied career in the accounting field, retiring from Carando Foods in Springfield, MA. After retiring, Anne and Andy lived in Mulberry, FL for several years until Andy's death.

Anne enjoyed knitting and participating in book club with friends. She loved gathering with family and friends for meals and was always ready for a game of cards.

Anne was predeceased by her first husband Clarence, her husband Andy Kaplan, her son Erik Kaplan, and her brothers Ernest and Norman Guay.

She is survived by her son Joseph Leger and his wife Angela; granddaughter Nikki Wells; grandson Joey Leger and his wife Nicole; granddaughter Crystal Pelletier; granddaughter Rachel Mahaffey and her husband Ethan; granddaughter Rylee Kaplan; great-granddaughters Phaedra Wells, Allison Leger, Ruby Pelletier, Elizabeth Leger, and Harper Mahaffey; great-grandson Easton Mahaffey; niece Lynn Carey and her husband Michael; and many beloved cousins and longtime friends.
