Anne's obituary
Anne V Guzi, 93, passed away on November 23, 2022, after a well-lived life.
Anne was born on November 16, 1929, in Central City, Pennsylvania, one of 14 children. She moved to Cleveland at 16 years old and met the love of her life Edward Guzi. Mom gained a loving family in Cleveland of sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews who filled her with joy. Anne is survived by her four adult children, Alan Guzi (72), Linda Jaacks (70), Cynthia Kivland (69), and Don Guzi (68). She was the best ever Grandma to her seven grandchildren Vanessa Jaacks (deceased), Shannon Harlan and Jason Jaacks of Indianapolis, Kelly Kivland (Columbus, Ohio), Chelsey Kivland (Hanover, NH), and Michael Kivland (Crystal Lake, Il, Adam Guzi and Emily Guzi (Florida), and Mia Guzi (Florida). She was known as Grandma Anne to her 11 great-grandchildren, each of who were blessed with her grace, fashion style, and unconditional love. Mom is also survived by her sister Marge Mogardy (Cleveland).
She spent most of her adult life in the Chicago area, where she excelled as an executive secretary and the life force of CoExport, a family-owned business in Elgin, Illinois. She loved her Flamingo girlfriends, a sisterhood of friendship that spanned 50 years. Mom immediately lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people who called her their mom or grandma too. She was a joyful presence with her coordinated outfits, from matching shoes to jewelry. She loved her friends and family and filled anyone who met her with warmth and kindness. Mom's gift was remembering special occasions, from birthdays to anniversaries, making each person feel special and loved. The family asks that you pay forward mom's legacy of kindness, grace, and grit in your daily lives. A Memorial Service and celebration of life will be scheduled after the first of the year.
