Caesar and Missy have passed on but Missy loved to wander the isles of wag n wash-she was in her glory there. Every time we pass by the wag n wash we think of Anne and the vision she had.  We are honored to know Dr. Forrest and the love  he has shown to honor Anne’s  legacy. Anne will always have a special place in our hearts.
Dear Kirk and Family,
I just saw on today’s FB post that Anne has passed away. I was so saddened to see this news. I had worked with Anne at the Ohio Commission on Aging. We spent much of our time laughing and talking nonstop. I will never forget her- her smile, her laughter. I am so very sorry for your loss.
Love,
Jean Michelson

Marilyn and Joe Ottaviano- Kirk and family : we are so sorry for your huge loss. Anne always made everyone around her feel good. I always felt happy when I was around her. I'm so blessed thatI had the chance to spend quality time with her during our lives. Even though we hadn't seen each other for awhile Anne often popped into my thoughts. We had a lot of good times and as I wrote previously Anne adored you and her family. I will miss her greatly . You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

From Historic St. Mary's City:

It is with a heavy heart that we note the passing of Anne Forrest. Anne was the volunteer coordinator for Historic St. Mary’s City until a few years ago when she left to open the local pet store, Wag and Wash.

During her time at HSMC, Anne revamped the entire Volunteer Program and cared for our volunteers and staff as if they were her family. Anne shared her knowledge and her kindness with everyone she worked with, and always lent a hand to whoever needed in the museum. She could be found at every event, making sure her volunteers were stocked with water (and candy) and bringing a smile to light up any space. We remember her - with her husband at her side, standing in the pouring rain welcoming visitors to an evening concert. Rain, snow, or the heat of summer never dimmed her spirit.

We send our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.
From the Wag'N Wash Corporate Team:

We are deeply saddened and sorry to share that Anne Forrest, co-owner of Wag N’ Wash California, pictured here with her husband Dr. Kirk Forrest, has passed away after a long, courageous fight with cancer.
Anne was an amazing woman that was truly adored by all of us. She has had a tremendous impact on our WAG family as well as her customers and companions in the California community. Our hearts go out to the Forrest family, the WAG California team, her customers, and our WAG family. It was Anne's wish that Wag N' Wash remain open which her husband Kirk will do in her memory.
In lieu of flowers, Anne asked that donations be made to the Hospice of St. Mary's where she was a supporter and volunteer.

Our memories of Anne will be cherished forever. Please enjoy one of our favorite's, which truly captured her love of pets, their companion's and Wag N' Wash.

Mrs. Forrest is such a sweet lady and her presence will live on at the store. My most heartfelt condolences to Dr. Forrest.
I first met Anne when she worked at Historic St. Mary's City. Her little office was just off the costume shop under the leadership of Head Costumer Debbie Watson who along with her group of volunteers would gossip and sew. Every now and then Anne would make a joke or step out to join us in conversation. I'll always remember her cool spirit. We were sad to lose her when she and her husband opened their new venture WashNWag. I visited her shop and sometimes was able to spend a few minutes chatting before giving my dog a wash. She will be so greatly missed. Warm thoughts to her husband and family. Liz Dickson
