Ania's obituary
Anna ‘Ania’ Maria Wise passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2022, at the age of 43. Though her death brought on many questions, her life was driven by her desire to love big. She is survived by her loving husband, Blake, her mother, Dzitka, her father, Dzidek, her brother, Thomas, her sister-in-law, Stacy, her stepsons, Jack and Luke, her nieces, egg donor daughters, sponsor family, and her loyal pups, Bruno and Bodhi.
Ania was born on March 24, 1979, and grew up in Santa Rosa, CA. An immigrant from Poland, she was the first person in her family to graduate from college. She was her parents ‘lala’ (doll) and never shied from being the center of attention. She had no “friends” - she treated everyone she loved as family.
Ania was the most giving person in the world, and she gave her whole heart to all who were blessed to know her. She spent her life making the lives of every person and animal around her better. She was a fairy princess in the eyes of all children and gave the biggest hugs. Like her gorgeous garden of succulents or her famous Polish paper stars, Ania made everything beautiful.
Besides her long-standing obsession with dogs and small animals, Ania developed a passion and love for horses. Ania and Blake cherished their getaways to Bend, Oregon, and Ania found refuge in being at the Flyspur Ranch surrounded by horses, a sanctuary where she sought peace and tranquility.
An outdoor celebration of Ania's life for friends and family will be held on Sunday, December 11, at 2pm at the Summit Ranch Equine Center, 100 Summit Ranch Rd, Alamo, CA (casual dress). Attendees are welcome to gather after the memorial at The Coop in Lafayette to share stories and uncomfortably long hugs, the only way Ania would have it.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ania’s honor to the Equine Outreach Horse Rescue in Bend, OR - a rescue and sanctuary for horses with uncertain futures.
