Anna's obituary

Anna Theresa Tingley, 99, of Braintree, MA passed away on January 26th, 2021 from natural causes.

Anna was born on May 31st, 1921 to parents Anna Sullivan and Joseph Sheehan in the bustling city of Boston, MA. After Anna graduated from Quincy High school, she commuted to Florida annually to waitress in the hotel industry. Anna then went on to work as a pastry chef before meeting Harold P. Tingley, who she married in 1961.

Anna is survived by her daughter Brenda L. Cardillo and son Thomas N. Tingley. She is also survived by her granddaughter Shannon B. Cardillo, grandson Scottie Tingley, and great-granddaughter Isabella B. De Tomasi, as well as many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.

After the death of her husband Harold in 1971, Anna worked as a cook at RH Stearns for several years before working as a dietary kitchen aide at the Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital. She loved keeping busy and worked as a nanny into her late 70's.

Anna was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Thomas More Parish in Braintree, MA. Some of Anna's hobbies included baking, crochet and cross-stitch, sculpture and ceramics and cryptogram puzzles.

A memorial service date is to be announced.
