Anna-Mae's obituary
We mourn the passing of Anna-Mae Johnson, a cherished pillar of our community, who gently left this world on February 15, 2024. Anna-Mae first brought her warmth into the world on July 10, 1938, spreading love, comfort, and acceptance wherever she went. She leaves behind her loving husband, children, grandchildren (including step grandchildren), and great grandchildren and many more loved ones.
Anna-Mae's profound strength in the face of adversity was an inspiring trait she passionately imparted to those around her. Her resilience shone brightly, serving as a beacon for all who had the fortune of knowing her.
Her accomplishments were numerous and diverse, yet she was never one to seek accolades. To Anna-Mae, her greatest achievements were the relationships she cultivated - as a dedicated wife, a nurturing mother, an adoring grandmother, a faithful friend, and so much more. Anna-Mae's love was a refuge, her home a sanctuary.
Among the many lessons Anna-Mae left behind, the backbone of her legacy was a simple yet powerful principle: be kind, be strong, and never allow anyone to take advantage of you. She empowered those around her with the belief that one could remain gentle while standing tall. Her guidance was a testament to her wisdom and her encouragement a testament to her love.
Anna-Mae's warmth, wisdom, and spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She continues to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Anna-Mae was loved beyond words and actions. Her absence leaves a void that words fail to adequately express. Yet, we find comfort in the knowledge that her spirit lives on in us. As we navigate through this sorrow, let us remember and honor her memory, cherishing the love, strength, and wisdom she so generously shared.
