Anna has always been and will always be someone who brings me a smile when thinking of her. Whether she was assisting you with lefse making skills, culinary techniques or demonstrating/teaching rosemaling you could be entertained by her wry humor and her extensive knowledge of Bernt Balchen lodge lore. It was a privilege to know her.
It was a joy to have served with Anna in the leadership of Sons of Norway in Anchorage.  She taught us the skills of rolling a perfect lefse, or as we liked to call them a Norwegian tortilla.  Her rosemaling will forever live as a testament to her artistic talents and love of the Norwegian cultural heritage and we are so lucky that it adorns Viking Hall where she spent a considerable amount of time.  My heart goes out to all of her family and friends and I know that the Sons of Norway community is forever grateful for the time she devoted to teach and share her love of the culture to which she was born.
I met Mrs. Decker once back in 1983 when I was working for her husband Dale at MultiVision.  She came to the old shop on 56th there in Anchorage once and Dale introduced me to her.  I was literally a kid back then but I still remember her kindness and Dale always spoke very highly of his wife.  I wasn't married at the time  and recall one of his lessons he taught me was "she will drive you crazy sometimes but you'll still love her like the day you met."   They were a great couple together and may they rest together in eternal peace and happiness.

Your Mom was the best and will be missed.  A bunch of us enjoyed and benefited from her generous sharing of her time and talent as a rosemaling instructor at the Sons Of Norway.   Anna was such a nice, easy going person who was always so pleasant to spend time with.  She sure loved her family.  Jim and I are so sorry for your loss.
Anna was such a gracious lady.  She spent many years as an active member of Palmer's  Eastern Star Chapter-Matanuska Valley No. 14-and later when they merged, she came to Denali No. 16 when her health permitted it.  Her art on the Alaskan animal carousel in Soldotna was fantastic.  I stopped many times to look at it.  Victoria Ault, Worthy Matron

I have known Anna for some years through her membership in the Order of the Eastern Star. Anna was a good worker for her Chapter and a wonderful lady and Sister.
Anna was one of the most kind, caring and generous people I have ever known.  She was very sweet.  She was also a fantastic cook of which I could probably blame a few of these pounds.  I enjoyed her fantastic rich Norwegian holiday treats such as Rommagrot, Lefsa, and Krumkake.  I was saddened to hear of her failing health but am sure that she has found peace in Heaven with Dale and her other family and friends.  God bless you Anna!  I believe that we will see you again!
