Ann Gwendolyn's obituary

Ann Gwendolyn Perry, 78, fell asleep in death on December 06, 2022 in Austell Georgia, into Jehovah's loving memory.

She birthed 4 children; Jerry Jr, Michael, Jason, and Desiree`. And 6 grandchildren; 2 boys and 4 girls; Kaymell, Javion, Dejah, Jaydyn, Londyn, and Brooklyn.

She was affectionately referred to as "Annie, Annie Panney, and our personal favorite Annie Oakely!" She grew up in Harlem, born in Manhattan and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses at the young age of 12. Throughout her life she's lived in NY, Washington, Oregon, California, and Georgia. She worked as a legal secretary most of her career, loved to dance and travel the world and for a couple years she was even a travel agent...she enjoyed card games, her favorite being bid wiz which she was pretty good at. A fun fact about her is that she was left handed and she loved bright reds and pinks.

Her favorite kingdom song was #105 God's Loyal Love and her favorite scripture was Isaiah 41:10

"Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness." She would quote this scripture any and every time she was in distress and shared it with anyone who she thought could use some encouragement.

She loved to paint and spent most of her free time doing so towards the end of her life. She was resilient, strong and refuse to give up on anything or anyone. She was a generous woman, as she was beautiful, short in height standing only 4ft 6inches, and had the most gorgeous curly locks that at one time she bragged could sit on! One of the quotes she'd often tell her children was "Nothing beats a failure but a try!" Her daughter now quotes it often. She was fun, feisty, self-sufficient, and she looked forward to paradise on earth where she would be freed from the imperfections of the current world conditions. When her first born would be healthy and could  walk and communicate, and all the bad memories of this world would be erased by our loving creator. When she could finally have the close relationships with her family she always wanted, especially with her only daughter Desi and her grandchildren.

She would like to be remembered as a faithful servant of Jehovah who endured to the end and in just a little while longer she will be resurrected to smile, laugh, love and dance again for eternity.
