I didn’t know Uncle Henry had children until after retiring with 24 years of military service.  One day I was contact by my sister in North Carolina who told me that Alex King, a cousin of mine, in Virginia was the family historian and managed the King Family Reunions.

Upon hearing this information, I contacted him and through our conversations he informed me that indeed I have cousins and he gave me Emily’s phone number and that is how I came to know and finally meet the cousins I’ve never knew!

My wife and I drove from Vail, Arizona to visit my cousins, Ann, Frances, Louise, and Emily, my Uncle Henry’s daughters in Philadelphia PA and then drove to Pawleys Island, South Carolina to Visit Thora. We arrived on June 30, 2023 and met my cousins for the first time in the 73 years of my life. Rejoicing to meet my cousins can’t be compared to anything I experienced in life. Beautiful smiles, laughter, and great fellowship with family that welcomed me with loving arms.

If it had not been for the goodness of the Lord my family would have been lost to me!  Thanks to my cousins Alex who shared a contact number with Emily.  I love all of my family, even those I’ve not met yet, but through Gods Grace and Mercy I will meet them one day!

Life is too short! Forgive & Let Go! Tomorrow Is Not Guaranteed!

Love from,

Bishop Lawrence J. and Minister Sandra G. King
