We were privileged to be able to share a year of one of Ann's beautiful daughters through the AFS scheme. And what a great year that was. We then got the opportunity to go to America and we made a point of visiting and staying with Ann and Jim, we were made most welcome and had a great time there. That friendship was never lost and we remained in contact through Facebook. Rest in Love Ann your memory lives on in those beautiful daughters of yours.
Such a beautiful tribute to your wonderful Mom! And so interesting….I didn’t know she was born in Astoria. And yes, a full life indeed with 3 great daughters to keep her memory a living thing❤️ My heart is with all of you
I was so shocked to hear of Ann’s passing. We both lived on Ball ct in Arcata in the 70’s. Ann was a true lady and a great friend. Our girls used to play together . She loved her family and had an inner strength that I admired. When we moved away I missed our tea and chats. Hold each other close and find comfort in each other. Sorry I can’t come to the memorial.
To Jim and Ann's family, I am devastated by your loss. Please know you are all in my heart and prayers. Ann and I met in 1992 when we both joined Rotary Club of Arcata, Sunrise as Charter Members. We became great friends over the years, working on many committees, fund raisers and projects together. We went through divorce at the same time so we could commiserate our frustrations, share horror stories and laugh through it all. We made it! Ann found Jim and I found my lifetime mate, Robert. I hope you all find comfort somewhere in your grief, knowing that Ann was an amazing and strong woman and she will live on through the memories of so many. Hugs to you all.
