Ann's obituary
Ann Therese Oro Fortes, beloved wife, devoted mother, and dear daughter, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, at the age of 40. Ann was born on June 27, 1983, in Pasay City, Metro Manila, to her parents Teresa Taburnal and Rolando Oro.
After marrying Mark Anthony Fortes, Ann embarked on a new chapter of her life, immigrating to the United States and settling in Michigan. There, she built a warm and nurturing home where she started her beautiful family.
Ann was a woman of quiet strength, facing her terminal diagnosis with courage and determination. Though soft-spoken, she possessed an inspiring inner bravery to those who knew her. Her greatest wish was for her children to remember her love and to flourish in life.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Mark, and their sweet children, Marco (7), Mia (6), and Lyanna (3), who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her parents and siblings, mother and sister-in-law, and numerous cousins, whose hearts ache with her passing.
Ann will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Though she may be gone from our sight, her memory will live on in her children and the lives of those she touched.
A private service will be held to honor Ann's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for Ann’s children has been established.
Ann Therese Oro Fortes will forever be cherished and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her loved ones who passed before her.
