Annie was always there for me, her family and friends. She greeted all with her sweet smile. We use to run around years ago. I would call her and ask, "What are you up to?" Her answer was always, "Up to my knees."
I miss her and am thankful that she was in my life. She will always be in my heart.
Blessings to her family and countless friends.
Annie always practiced the phrase “it’s better to give than to receive “! I loved that about Annie so I try share with others by giving bake goods and sending cards when someone I know just needs to be remembered if they are sick, have lost a love one, or just need a little act of kindness.
In response to "What did you learn from Ann?"

My grandma always encouraged me to read books, and I mean ALWAYS. Every book fair, she’d spend time (sometimes hours) looking for new reading material for me and her students. And every Summer, she’d encourage me to enroll in Plano’s summer literacy programs, buying me books and taking me to local libraries. My love of reading is in large part due to her and is another reason I’ll always be grateful that she was my grandmother.
My mom loved reading books, and taught us how to read early. Every night a book was read. As we got older, new books were purchased - we always had a library of stories to get lost in. When we complained about being bored "go read a book" was a regular solution. A joy of reading has been passed down to her grandchildren - and countless students.
