Annie was more than a friend.  She was family....marrying one of my two best friends only solidified that position for decades!  She accepted the fact and called us "her boys" or "the boys" even when we lead Ricky astray in our earlier years!  She will be sorely missed by this last remaining "boy!"  Lillian and Logan, spouses and children I am so very sorry for your loss!

Annie will be missed by so many who knew her and cared for her. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren; she loved cooking for her family and others, and caring for her grandchildren when they all were infants and toddlers. She loved to read and to sew and crochet and I still have several dishcloths she crocheted for me. Annie loved long walks and gardening; when we walked together she would tell me the names of many flowers that I did not know the names of. She loved traveling and visiting family and long time friends in Oregon and Washington, California, Ireland, England and Scotland.

Annie retired a year or two after I did and as we lived not far from each other we became closer friends as well as having been friendly colleagues for many years. We spent a lot of time together, often walking with her dog Dorie up Mount Tabor, around Laurelhurst park, and around her neighborhood. We went to exhibits at the art museum, attended plays and musicals, and much more. When her world became more limited, I brought her to my home for lunch most weeks and we watched shows together and would walk around the block as long as she was able to do that. Annie loved Harry Potter so we watched the whole series together, then we were working on Outlander. When she became too ill to be cared for at home I was able to visit her most weeks at MorningStar; we would walk the hallways while she could, and I would bring her mandarin oranges to eat, and I would read stories to her. I am very sad to lose my dear friend, yet I am happy for Annie that she is released from her suffering body. I am grateful for my friendship with Annie, and that I had the opportunity to become acquainted with her family as well over the years.

Annie was a great friend and neighbor….We shared so many meals, glasses of wine, long walks and laughs together. I’m thankful to have known Annie, Rick and their wonderful children. ❤️❤️❤️

Sending big love to you all. Aunt Annie was so special and ever knowledgeable about health, home, and life! I always learned something when I was with her. She will be missed!
My sincerest condolences to your family as my heart also grieves alongside you and for you. I got to know Annie on such a personal level in a very rough time of her life.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity I was given to spend with her. You are all in my prayers and in my heart.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your beautiful Annie. She was a marvelous nurse and delightful friend.
I worked with her for 20 some years at Providence Portland
