Ann's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ann "Grannie Annie" Carlson. She was born on August 12, 1946, and departed from us on December 23, 2024. Ann’s spirit, energy, and zest for life left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Ann is survived by her devoted son Andrew Carlson, and her cherished granddaughters, Cam and Dia Carlson, who were the sunshine of her life. Ann was predeceased by her loving brother, Peter Cupery, and her dear parents, Nicholas and Gwendolyn Cupery. A model of resilience and optimism, Ann's love for her family was boundless and never-ending.
Ann was a woman of exuberant spirit, bright demeanor, friendly nature, and engaged in her community. Her laughter was recognizable by everyone who met her, and she thoroughly enjoyed life's simple pleasures. Her love for meeting people and engaging in arts & crafts added to her vibrant persona. She was passionate about travel and frequently shared stories about her trips to places like Italy, France, the Netherlands, Costa Rica and Barbados. She was always excited about the idea of exploring new places.
Locally, Ann was a regular at The Exchange and Pizza Luce, where she was known for her radiant smile and infectious laughter. At home, her beloved cat Charlie brought her immense joy and comfort.
Ann believed in being joyful, living in the moment, and practicing gratitude. She instilled these values in her family and the people around her. Her life was filled with many accomplishments, but she often said that her greatest accomplishment was her loving family. Today, as we mourn her loss, her legacy of laughter and love lives on in every heart she touched.
Grannie Annie will forever be a beacon of joy and laughter in our memories, reminding us to revel in every moment. We'll miss you, Ann. Your spirit remains unextinguished, illuminating our paths with enduring love and fond reminiscences. Rest in peace.
