Ann's obituary

Ann Bradshaw

February 18, 1939 to January 27, 2023

Ann Bradshaw of Nanana's Two Pine Ranch, passed away at age 83 on January 27, 2023, from complications with lung cancer that had metastasized in the brain.

Ann was born on February 18, 1939, to Clara and Bud Cornelius in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from Waco Union High School, Ann joined the army and served at Fort Hood, Texas, as an air traffic controller.

In 1960, Ann was married to Aurthor Mallor at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fairbanks, Alaska, and welcomed her first daughter Lara into the world on December 21, 1960.

Ann and her daughter Lara lived in Las Vegas during the Rat Pack Era. Ann worked as a dancer in the Flamingo’s chorus line on the famous Las Vegas strip. She later worked at Caesar’s Palace upon its opening as a cocktail waitress at the Baccarat tables.

In 1971, Ann met Gordon Bradshaw in Fish Lake Valley, Nevada. They married shortly after in Reno, Nevada, and soon ventured to start a new life together in North Pole, Alaska, where they purchased the Birch Island Ranch. On December 25, 1975, they welcomed their son Mitchell into the world while vacationing in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Five years later, their daughter MoAnna was born on October 10, 1980, in Fairbanks, Alaska.

At the Birch Island Ranch in North Pole, they shared a life together with their children farming hay and raising cattle. In 1985, they purchased their farm in Nenana at an auction where they started farming on a larger scale, homesteading the Two Pine Ranch.

Gordon and Ann farmed together until around 2000, when Gordon’s health deteriorated requiring warmer climates in Arizona. Ann and her youngest daughter, MoAnna, continued to farm and raise cattle at Two Pine Ranch until MoAnna’s life led her to Valdez, Alaska, in 2013.

Ann loved everything about the farm life on Two Pine Ranch to the very end of her beautiful and fulfilling life.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents Clara and Bud Cornelius and her daughter, Lara Peck. Ann is survived by Gordon Bradshaw, her two children, Mitchell Bradshaw and MoAnna Bradshaw and her beloved dog Boots.
