Ann's obituary
After a long battle with lung cancer, Ann Margaret Bradford passed away on 08/19/2025 in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Ft. Thomas, on May 3rd 1963, Ann was the 5th child of Albert and Jane Schilling. She attended St. Therese elementary School in Southgate, KY and Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, KY.
Except for a brief time living in Chicago, Ann has been a lifelong resident of Northern Kentucky
On April 28th, 1984, Ann married her high school sweetheart, Ted Bradford of Ft. Thomas. Together, Ann and Ted shared a marriage, a friendship that lasted 43 years and to her dying day, Ted was always by her side.
In August of 1992, Ann and Ted welcomed into their family, Samantha. Ann’s biggest pride and joy was getting to be a mother. Countless days on the side of the soccer field, Ann was Samantha’s #1 fan. She was so proud of Samantha when she received her Doctorate Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky.
The happy trio soon became a foursome when on March 29th 2022, Ann became a grandmother to Samuel Reuben. Sammy lit up Ann’s life and she was never so happy as when she was holding him in her arms, chasing him around the room, or hugging him close.
Ann wore many hats during her lifetime but it was her love of children that led Ann to her true calling, being a nanny, a career that spanned decades. Under her care, she watched multiple children grow from adolescents to their high school and college graduations.
Ann is survived by her husband, Ted, daughter Samantha and grandson Sammy. Her six siblings; Peter (Judith), Thomas (Pamela), Katherine (Gary), Jennifer (Craig) Joseph, and Steven, her step mother, Edith, her step sister Toni (Kenneth), brother in laws Fred(Dee) and Ed, and sister in laws Stephanie (Tony) and Melissa( Chris), and multiple nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many here on earth but has gone to heaven to be reunited with her parents.
A celebration of life will be held at Pompilios
600 Washington Ave
Newport, KY
On August 30th from 2-6.
