Ann's obituary
Ann M. Arendsen, born in Zeeland, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, March 22 at the age of 91.
Ann led a remarkable and unconventional life. She worked as a flight attendant, teacher, hosted a local cable television show, and authored a children’s book to help toddlers overcome their fear of storms. A passionate traveler and keen observer of the world, Ann was known for her curiosity, creativity, and distinct sense of style.
In thinking about her life, Ann reflected, “if you’re reading this... I made a lot of mistakes, but I learned from them. I learned from my mistakes and wanted to teach people what I learned.” She shared her wisdom freely, always with candid honesty.
She married Glenn Arendsen, and together they raised three daughters: Laura, Greta, and Krista, and two granddaughters: Freya and Vesper. Ec centric, independent, and fiercely intelligent, Ann was admired for her sharp perspective, generosity, and flair for the unexpected. She is missed in ways that are hard to put into words.
