ANITA ADELE KERANEN

OBITUARY

Anita Adele Keranen of most recently Mesa, Arizona and previously of Oro Valley, Arizona passed away March 18, 2026 surrounded by family at home.

Anita was born on October 28,1954 in Detroit Michigan. Married to David C. Keranen on November 5, 1988 in Dearborn, Michigan. Together they raised three children Richard, Anthony and Melisa.

Anita Loved her family and friends, enjoying the many family gatherings and daily visits for coffee and conversation. As a stay at home Mom, Anita kept the household running with Love and commitment to family. She truly enjoyed preparing great meals, big and loud barbecues and putting her decorative touches throughout the home—especially for holidays—and even more for Christmas! Least we not forget our dogs, Buddy, Dino, Rocky and Tank!

Anita is survived by her husband David C. Keranen. Children Richard Law (Lisa), Anthony Keranen(Valerie) and Melisa (Henry)Jones. Grandchildren Justin, Logan, Adrian, Mia and Michael. Siblings Gerald Piacentini(Elizabeth), Richard Piacentini(Norma), Renee(David) Baker, Ann Piacentini(Ronald-deceased) and numerous neices and nephews. Anita was preceded in death by her parents Delmar and Marie Piacentini, brother Ronald Piacentini and In-laws Melvin and Isabel Keranen.

The Celebration of Anita’s life will be Friday March 27, 2026 in Oro Valley, Arizona with Pastor Erin Morris of Resurrection Lutheran Church officiating.
