Anita's obituary
Nita is survived by her sisters, Karen, Carol, and Robin, her nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Lindsey, Paul, Sean, Ashley, and Steven, her great nieces and nephews, her friends and her cat Thumper. Nita was an exceptionally talented woman who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, painting, jewelry-making, sewing, and arranging wreaths. She spent much of her time caring for others and showing her love by giving away many delicious meals and beautiful crafts. Nita had a wonderful sense of humor, she loved to chat and could always turn a mundane moment into a hilarious memory with her silly ways. She is lovingly remembered for her way of twisting words and phrases at the perfect moment that would brighten the spirits of those around her. She loved to be outside and was known for enjoying long nature walks picking flowers and greenery for her wreaths and swimming in a nearby lake or creek on a hot summer day. Anita loved music and was an incredible dancer. As a teenager at the Fairmede Drop In (sock hop) the kids would clear the dance floor so Anita could do the James Brown 'Skate.'
Anita and her sisters had a strong and incredibly close relationship after losing their mother at a young age. They became reliant upon each other for support and strength. Like most sisters growing up at times they argued, but overwhelmingly grew up laughing and loving, bonded in sisterhood.
'Aunt Nina' loved her nieces and nephews as her children. She devoted many hours of her life to caring for, loving, and doting on them. She hosted many sleep overs, made countless feasts, and loved to take them out for fun activities like bike rides and swims.
