It is with profound sadness that we share the news that our beloved mother Anita Carroll has passed away at the age of 86. She was predeceased by our Father Andrew, and leaves behind her children, Cynthia Carroll, Nicole Carroll, Dawn Militi (Corrado), Christopher Carroll, Rochelle Lind (Adam). She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, a sister Darlene Ponder, sister-in-law Dollie Micketti, many nieces and nephews and several cousins and friends.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved West in 1959 where she later met our Father and her late husband, Andrew. They had 5 beautiful children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She loved music, dancing, bowling and her favorite pastime was going to the beach where she lived for over 10 years most recently. She loved being with her children and watching them play sports, swim in our pool and play on the beach.

She was a loving, kind and generous mother and friend. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She was always there when we needed her with words of wisdom or caring thoughts. She had many friends from working all her life that she still kept in touch with, as well as many extended family members.

She attended church and prayed regularly and was devout to her faith. Praying for so many and donating to many, many causes. St Jude was the organization she held closest to her heart.

We will celebrate our Mother’s life with a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Carpinteria, CA in June TBD

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude in her name.

You were a precious gift from God with so much beauty, love and grace. You touched so many hearts in wonderful ways.
