Angelo and Louise's obituary
Angelo A. Simone (8/28/1928-10/17/2025, and Louise Simone (3/14/1935-10/26/2025) passed peacefully. Both grew up in Roseville, California, the son of Italian immigrants.
After graduating from Roseville High School Angelo attended the University of Washington, where he studied architecture. His first professional position was with Gladding McBean in Lincoln, California, a role that took him around the world as a terra cotta expert.
Angelo later settled in Castro Valley, where he raised his two sons. While his daughter Cynthia (Cindy) lived with her mother she later reconnected with him, and they shared a warm, meaningful relationship that brought joy to them both. He married Louise Pineschi and adopted her two children, and together they built a busy, close-knit family life in Dublin, CA. Over the years his family grew to include 21 grandchildren, 12 great‑grandchildren, and 3 great‑great‑grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who remained an important part of his life.
When Angelo retired he and Louise returned to Roseville to be near extended family and reconnect with old high school friends. There he became the lead singer of a group called the DefTones, performing classic songs from the 1940s and 1950s at retirement communities, reunions, and local gatherings. Music was one of his great joys, and people loved hearing him sing the standards made famous by Frank Sinatra and others.
In retirement, Angelo and Louise continued to travel across the country and abroad, and their home was often a gathering place filled with friends, conversation, and generous helpings of Italian food. He also remained especially close to his nephew Angelo, whom he regarded as a son, and to his niece Elaine, both who helped care for him and Louise in their later years.
They are survived by their children, Cynthia Plaza (Eddy), Mark (Heather), Angelo (Sue), Bill (Sherri), and Lisa (Mchael) Burke as well as their nieces, Elaine and Marie and nephew Angelo who helped care for them.
Angelo and Louise will be remembered for their devotion to family, their generous hospitality, and the full, rich life they shared together.
