Angelita Nitti Jaoui, age 55, of Morrisville, North Carolina passed away Monday, June 26, 2023. She will be remembered for her loving and fierce devotion to family and friends.

Angelita grew up in San Pietro Vernotico, Apulia, Italy and was the daughter of Giulia and Roberto Nitti. While studying computational linguistics at Universite' de Metz, France, she met Mohammed Jaoui, originally from Morocco while he was pursuing doctoral studies in physical chemistry. Three years later, they married in France. They moved to North Carolina shortly afterwards, where they raised two children.

Along with her father and her husband of 25 years, Angelita is survived by her beloved children - a son, Yanis Dris and a daughter, Anais Giulia Khadija as well as her younger brother Antonio of Milan, Italy.

Funeral services honoring the life of Angelita Nitti Jaoui will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 12:30PM at Wake Memorial Park, Cary. Interment will follow at the same location. A Celebration of Life will also be held later in the summer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Duke Cancer Institute in Durham, NC.
