Angela's obituary

Angela Jean (Harris) Morse, 48, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. In the days and hours leading up to her passing, Angela was surrounded by her loved ones.

Angela was born on December 12, 1975. She attended high school in Hinckley, Minnesota at Hinckley-Finlayson High School. After high school, Angela attended and graduated from Regency School of Cosmetology in 2010. She went on to have a successful career as a stylist, most recently at Gents in Minneapolis, she also earned her Cosmetologist Salon Manager License in 2024. Over the years she had many clients who sought out her talent, but her favorite clients included her mom, sister, daughters, son, nieces and nephews.

Angela will be remembered as someone who was always up for an adventure. She loved spending time with her family—especially her three children—embarking on excursions that included things like biking, one-wheeling, and fishing (“watch your own bobber!”). She completed two half-marathons, enjoyed snowboarding, canoeing, paddle boarding and golfing. She enjoyed exploring local parks—from state parks to trampoline parks to water parks. Angela loved to travel, whether to a nearby amusement park where she was always game for the biggest ride or to a warmer destination for more sight-seeing adventures. One of Angela’s favorite past times was exploring historical sites on her travels—showing off her love for architecture by pointing out different details of buildings to her children. Her family will especially remember her as an amazing artist, painter, gardener, cook and handywoman—one who could add her unique creativity to any project and one who could decipher IKEA instructions so well that she should have had a tip hotline. She was also an amazing gift giver, whether it be a special excursion: swimming with stingrays, zip-lining, escape room, etc., or some other uniquely thoughtful gift. Angela’s motto was to “follow your arrow,” and her adventures and talents were wonderful examples of the way in which she lived that motto.

Angela is survived by her three children: her daughters, Kennedy Roy (significant other, Grant) and Myla VanGorden and her son, Atlas Roy. Angela is further survived by her husband, Thomas Morse; her mother, Kathleen (Todd) Pertl; her sister, Tracie (Kurt) Honadel; her brother, Tim Harris; her nieces and nephews: Zachary (Michelle), Jessica (significant other, Justin), Kaiden, Kinsey; great nephews and niece, Jalen, Jaxon and June. Angela is further survived by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Angela was preceded in death by her dad, Gary Nordin and her grandparents, Margaret (Marge) and John Weitzel.

Though they are heartbroken over her loss and will miss her more than words can ever convey, her family is grateful for the many good, loving, fun-filled, adventure-seeking memories they have of Angela, and they will hold onto those memories as they navigate the days and years ahead.
