Angela's obituary
Angela Marie Morgan, of Bradenton, Florida passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2021, after sustaining a fatal injury due to a fall in the home. Her loss was completely unexpected, and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. Angela was born on September 11, 1971, to Garrett Morgan III and Gwendolyn Morgan in Cleveland, OH. In her early years, Angela was a cheerleader and rising track star. Angela moved to California with her father at age 15, she finished her last 2 years of High School at Moreno Valley High. She continued her education at Redlands University where she became a girl scout camp counselor in the San Bernardino Mountains. She shifted from camp counselor to program manager at the Girl Scouts of America and relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area. While there she became a grant writer for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Angela was a social butterfly and fitness enthusiast, she got involved in the dragon boat rowing scene and an intermural soccer club. She had an immense passion for skincare and personal aesthetics so much so that she pursued it as a career. Angela moved to Florida to be closer to family and continue her education in nursing to gain more independence as an esthetician. After surviving a hard-fought battle with breast cancer, she became an active member of the breast cancer survivor community and participated in fundraising events that incorporated her love of fitness. Anyone who knew Angela knew she was kind, generous, and full of life. Angela’s family and friends will miss her more than words can say. Angela Marie Morgan is survived by her parents, Garrett Morgan III and Gwendolyn Morgan; her brother, Garrett Morgan IV; and a host of aunts, cousins, and friends.
