Angela Carey Lunsford passed away on April 5, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Born on October 9, 1971, Angela was the daughter of David Michael Lunsford and Lorena Ann Hurley. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and Mimi whose presence touched the lives of many.

Angela is survived by her sisters, Lisa Lunsford and Lori Kays of Coweta, Oklahoma; her daughter Leah Butler and husband Ricky Butler of Marshall, Texas; her son Stephen Perry Jr. and wife Olivia Smith of Inola, Oklahoma; her son Jacob Perry and wife Megan Perry of Hallsville, Texas; and her daughter Kayla Shane and husband Michael Shane of Marshall, Texas. She also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

No one who met Angie will forget her deep love for Jesus, passion for singing, and her fondness for Icees, Lifetime movies, meatloaf sandwiches, and Big Macs. She delighted in the holidays and treasured time spent with family. Angie also enjoyed dressing up and looking nice.

A resilient soul, Angie was a survivor, facing life’s challenges head-on—often working multiple jobs to support those she loved. She always found a way when there wasn't one. Her strength and determination left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Though she will be deeply missed, she is no longer bound to her earthly woes, and is with her Father, Jesus in Heaven. 

 Angela's family will be hosting a small private memorial service/ Celebration of life May 3rd, 2025 at 2 P.M.  The family welcomes you to share any of your condolences or memories here on this memorial site. In lieu of flowers, monetary or clothing donations may be made to the Tulsa Day Center in Angela’s memory.
