Angela's obituary
Mrs. Angela Haun, 86, of Plantation, FL, passed away on June 16, 2022 and was surrounded by her family.
Angela was born on November 17th, 1935 to Elizabeth Mary and Allen St. George Colthurst in Bishop Stortford, England. After graduating from Nursing School at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Bournemouth, England in 1956, she remained on staff until 1957 when she moved to the United States to work at Newton Wesley Hospital in Newton, MA. In 1962, she met John Jordan Haun, and they wed in 1963, going on to have 3 sons, Michael, James and John Jordan, Jr. Soon after the family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL where they settled.
Angela was a dedicated and wonderful mother and wife, she excelled at propping up members of her family and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. She was remarkable in every way, a positive beam of light for everyone who had the pleasure to know her. She never waivered in her faith, her love, or gratitude of life. We will miss her greatly.
Angela was predeceased by her husband, John Jordan Haun and her son, J. J. Haun, Jr. She is survived by her son Michael, his wife Susanna, and their son Michael John Peter Haun. Her other son James, his wife Gina, his twin sons, Jordan and Scott Haun, and Jim's stepson, Tyler Grabowski. Her eldest sister Anne Evason, and her other older sister Judy Simpson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fort Lauderdale local Chapter of The P.E.O. Sisterhood. Angela was a member since 1967 of this Philanthropic Educational Organization where women focus providing educational opportunities for female students worldwide. There will be a church service, followed by a celebration of life on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 333 Tarpon Dr., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Please RSVP if you can join the family.
