Angela's obituary
Angela was born on January 23, 1958 in Columbus, Mississippi to JR and Betty LaFarge and graduated from Caldwell High School, class of 1976. She attended Mississippi University for Women, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree. It was then on to the University of Mississippi where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1987. She continued her studies and completed a general dental residency in 1988. Following the completion of her periodontal residency at OHSU in 1990, Angela resided in private practice in both Peachtree City and Griffin, Georgia until 2002 when she moved to Portland, Oregon. After time spent as a periodontal associate in Hillsboro, Angela opened her own practice in Beaverton, Oregon. Angela was passionate about her work and loved what she did, as her patients can attest through the kind and loving care she consistently provided. She was active in her dental association for many years.
Angela loved and lived life to the fullest. Her giving spirit was a prominent characteristic, which touched many lives. She volunteered with several free clinics and participated in numerous dental mission trips, as far away as Peru. She had an appetite for life-long learning and recently enrolled in bee keeping and French classes. Angela appreciated the fine arts and was an avid supporter, frequently attending concerts and the theatre. She loved movies and dining out, but her family and friends were always paramount.
Angela is preceded in death by her parents, JR and Betty LaFarge and brother, Robby. She is survived by her two beautiful children, Trevor, age 22 and Eden, age 20.
An on-line service at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Hillsboro, Oregon will be held Saturday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m.
