Obituary for Angel Alcides Mayorga Jr.

February 26, 1954 – October 2, 2025

Angel Alcides Mayorga Jr. was born on February 26, 1954, in San Miguel, El Salvador to Angel Alcides Mayorga Sr. and Lydia Febe Mayorga. In 1961, Angel and his family moved to the United States, where they made their home in the Bay Area.

Angel was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and partner. He was preceded in death by his father, Angel Alcides Mayorga Sr; his mother, Lydia Febe (Cerna) Mayorga; sister, Dina (Mayorga) Hess; and his brother, Herbert Mayorga. He is survived by his children, Angelo Mayorga Sr. (wife Kimberly Bailey), Carlos Mayorga (husband Josh Weed), and Sheena Mayorga (husband Hector Ramirez Texidor); his grandchildren, Angelo Jr., Lynnea, Daniela, Julian, Angelee, and Rylie; and his great-grandchildren, Kian and Kalayah.

He also leaves behind his loving and devoted partner of 31 years, Yolanda Catzalco; his brother-in-law, Jim Hess; nephews, Ryan Hess, Austin Hess(Andrea Hess), Brandon Hess(Julie Hess), and Robert Mayorga (Emily Mayorga); and Robert’s children, Angel, Dante, and Leena Mayorga.

Angel was a lover of music—especially Carlos Santana, The Beatles, and classic oldies. He enjoyed his transistor radios, old Western movies, and cheering on the San Francisco Giants. 

Angel will be remembered for his kind heart, love of family, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. He cherished time spent with loved ones. His legacy will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
