Angel “Baby” Lewis was born 12/09/2011 to irresponsible breeders in the back woods of North Carolina. She was pimped out for the first 3 years of her life, never taken to the vet one day despite cranking out babies left and right, then thrown out to live in a pen for 2 years. Her pimp posted a picture of her begging to be let out of the pen, and her mom wasted no time in rescuing her. After many visits to the vet it was determined that Angel was suffering from a major heart condition. During the spay she was found to be pregnant. Despite all the heartache and pain of her younger days, she knew she was safe in the arms of her new family. Angel received the best care from her medical team, including cardiologists, veterinarians and nutritionists. She loved car rides, riding around in her stroller at the park, and spying on her mom in the bathroom. She wasn’t shy about letting her mom know when she was hungry and when she was bored with the menu. She enjoyed trips to the pet stores where she and her sister Pumpkin would talk about what not to wear and giggle at other fur children’s behavior. Angel quickly became the boss of the house and would body slam Pumpkin into the wall whenever she got out of line. (Pumpkin is an overexcitable little girl and Angel just couldn’t stand her yipping). She enjoyed rubbing noses with Holly cat, pretending to be mom’s dumbbell during workouts, dancing with Pumpkin and mom to their favorite song, and most of all sitting on mom’s lap giving lovely kisses. Angel endured ongoing cardiac issues and multiple trips to the Emergency room throughout the 5 years with her family until her little body asked to be relieved of the pain and suffering. She was the love of her our lives and is missed more than words can tell. She leaves behind her sisters Pumpkin and Holly, mom Karen and dad Trevor. Her last message is to breeders. If you choose to bring lives into the world, ensure their babies are healthy and for goodness sake take mom to the vet. She wishes for every shelter dog to have a home and love like she did. We look forward to seeing our baby Angel in heaven. Rest well sweet girl. Love always
